Helping to create businesses means entrepreneurial development, a mainstay of CREDC's mission. With programs offered through our Murata Business Center, the Keystone Innovation Zone, or in alliance with our partners, we can assist start-up ventures in a variety of ways.
CREDC owns and operates the only small business incubator in the region, the Murata Business Center in Carlisle, Cumberland County. Murata is a 34,000 square foot facility that provides pre-venture and early stage businesses with support services designed to increase an entrepreneur's opportunities for success. Clients located at Murata as well as those served through its outreach, will increase employment, contribute to the tax base, diversify the economy and increase the quality of life in the region. If you would like more information on the Murata Business Center, please contact Karen Gunnison, Executive Director, at (717) 249-2356 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
In addition, CREDC administers the Harrisburg Market Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ). The purpose of the KIZ initiative is to further encourage the commercialization of research & development at colleges and universities in the Central Pennsylvania region, as well as enhance entrepreneurial activity in the region and create career opportunities for young professionals. If you would like information about the KIZ, contact Linda Goldstein at (717) 213-5031 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
