Description of Event:

Large corporations and prime contractors are looking for small businesses.  Small businesses are looking for a way to get in the door.  This is the event that brings them all together!  Don't miss the 2010 Supplier Diversity Symposium, an annual event that gives diverse suppliers access to key contacts in purchasing and procurement throughout the region.  The event features workshops for both small businesses and supplier diversity executives as well as an opportunity for small business owners to meet one on one with decision makers.

What is the purpose of the event?
The purpose is to provide a forum where diverse businesses can meet one on one with decision makers in purchasing.

What are the criteria for exhibitors?
The exhibitors are prime contractors, public and private entities who are looking to do business with minority and women owned businesses.

What is the format?

9:30am-10:00am Registration
10:00am-12noon Breakout sessions
12noon-1:00pm  Lunch and panel discussion
1:00pm-4:00pm  One on one appointments

The day begins with a series of workshops.  There are two tracks for the workshops.  One track is geared towards small business owners.  The other track is geared towards purchasing and procurement contacts.  The workshops provide an educational opportunity for both small businesses and purchasing executives.

What should I have prepared?

We encourage small businesses to come with business cards and company brochures to provide to exhibitors explaining your business.  Exhibitors will be prepared to share their vendor registration process, criteria and any other pertinent information needed for potential vendors.
